Sustainable Energy - without the hot air cover

David J.C. MacKay, 2008

UIT Cambridge Ltd.

0954452933, 384 pages

A detailed and fact-based look at the feasibility of sustainable energy sources, with worked examples for the UK and Europe. Makes a complex subject very approachable by breaking down everything based on the needs of a single person (how many square meters of solar panels would each person need for their electricity use, heating, etc).

If you still think that it is realistic to decarbonise all our energy generation (electricity is just a small part!) without a substantial role for nuclear energy, read this book.
